Among other interesting things about Bisoke hiking trail, you are able to establish the altitude beyond which the Gorillas may not climb despite being called Mountain Gorillas. With your packed lunch boxes, set out of the lodge and drive to the park offices at Kinigi. The park staff of guides will take you through the Gorilla trekking etiquette. There are currently 10 habituated Gorilla families in Volcanoes Park but you will be allocated one to track with a group of not more than 8 people. The number can even be less depending on the time of your visit. You will use the same trail as for Bisoke hike, off which you will break to start the search for your allocated Gorilla family.
Upon finding the Gorilla family, the major rules are; you have one hour to observe, photograph and walk with them under maximum silence, keep a space of 7 meters from them and don’t make sudden movements even when they approach you. After the experience with the Gorillas, trek out of the forest to where you will find your driver for a drive back to Kigali city. It will be the end of the 3 Days Rwanda Gorilla Tour and Bisoke Hike Trip.
